Tobacco smoking is the cause of many diseases:
Active and passive smoking causes aero-digestive, cardiovascular and neural disorders, pathologic pregnancy, complications of delivery, newborn anomalies, children respiratory and allergic diseases, develops the non-healthy habits in children and raises the risk of drug dependency, decreases the population mean life time.

Tobacco smoking causes the cancer:
Among the main causes of cancer, tobacco smoking is the most significant risk factor. 30% of all localizations cancer are concerned with this ethiological factor. 90% of lung cancer is caused by tobacco smoking. Besides, the chronic influence of high concentrations of carcinogenic agents in tobacco and it's burning derived substances are reflecting the development of oral cavity, larynx, digestive, urology and reproductive system's organs cancer.

Tobacco smoke contains more than 40 carcinogens:
Tobacco smoke contains more than 4 000 chemical substances and airs, among of them: nicotine, benzole, benzo(a)pirene, carbone monoxide, amonium, dimethylnitrozamine, formaldehyde, cynide hydrogene, akrolein. More than 40s of them are human carcinogenics, among of them such a significant agents, as azbestos, benzole and radone airs.

Tobacco smoking causes the genetical anomalies:
Because of chronic toxic and carcinogenic exposure, 80% of tobacco smokers develope genetical anomalies, also the damage of p53 gene is noted, which is playing a significant role in cancer induction. Besides, the number of insulin type growth factors and gastrin-releasing peptide's receptors are increasing in smoker organism, causing the abnormalities of cell dividing process, followed by uncontrolled tumour growth, cancer development, immune and psycological depression, progression of mallignant process, and finaly, this mechanism ends with death of cancer patient.

Secure children form passive tobacco smoking:
9 childrens from 10 are not safe from passive smoking in smokers families. 700 mln. of children in the world are under tobacco smoke jeopardizing exposure because of passive tobacco smoking. 70% of exposed children have increased risk of respiratory diseases: lung dysfunctions, infection diseases, chronic bronchitis and pneumonias, bronchial asthma. In 30% of children, tobacco is causing hearing dysfunctions and deafness. 25% of children death is concerned with tobacco smoke exposure.

Perspectives of population defence from tobacco carcinogenic exposure:
In the aim of population health and social defence, Health Care Ministry should adopt the state sanitary- and hygienic standards for tar and nicotine contentce reglamentation in tobacco products.
Ministry of education should implement the healthy life style programs begining from elementary schools.
Media means should increase in their programs population education on healthy life style and conduct free of charge anti-advertisement of bad habits.
Parliament should adopt the law, which will promote the reglamentation of tobacco manufacturing, it's export - and import and trading due to adequate licensing and implementation of certification system; prohibit tobacco advertisemnt by all means and accept free of charge anti-advertiement; establish the obligatory testing, fines and taxes on vialation of adopted normatives; defend non-smoking population from tobacco smoke exposure.
