This Project is Made Possibleby the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, and is Administered by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX).

American Cancer SocietyACS has awarded each participant scholar organization by ACS/SEDD Grant (due to support from Pfizer Foundation, which was the main sponsor of University) in amount of 5 000 US $ for the realization of some cancer fight activities.

New Grant from IREXThe Internet Access and Training Program (IATP)
IREX/IATP Created and Provided NACC as a Grant with Own Virtual Mail Server- mail.nacc.org.ge - for Free of Charge Service for Indefinite Time. Extension of IREX Support is maintained in the borders of IATP (Program Coordinator - Vakhtang Kontridze).

Internet Ongoing Project and New Grant from OSGF for NACC Web Site Development
Since 2000, NACC is the Grantee of Open Society - Georgia Foundation (OSGF). Particularly, according to OSGF Internet Program: Wide Open World (WOW), NACC has a free access to Internet by 10 hours in a week.

NCC was Funded by OSGF by 5000 US $ for Conduction of Postgraduate Training Courses at Georgian Cancer Centers on
Modern Methods of Cancer Epidemiological Research and Medical Statistics.
OSGF agreed to ensure the placement part of the NACC Site on it's server in order of multimedia presentation optimization on Web created due to ECA/IREX Internet Grant Competition. Extension of OSGF Support is maintained in the borders of WOW program (Project Director-Mr. Sandro Karumidze).

EUROPEANENCR
This cooperation was developed in terms of ENCR International Programs Coordinator - Dr. Risto Sankila's visit in Tbilisi according to NACC invitation in August 3-8, 2000. The aim of this visit was the cancer registry development needs assessment in Georgia.

PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT
NACC with Public Health Department of Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Defence is conducting the Joint Project for Public Education on Radio Fortuna on Issues of Cancer Prevention. NACC was Funded by Public Health Department by 2 500 US $ for Creation of Radio Clips.

NATIONAL CANCER CENTER (NCC)
NCC is the head cancer organization in Georgia, with more than 50 years of history and highly sophisticated staff. The office of NACC is situated at NCC. Besides, the NACC human resources are generally composed of NCC leader staff members. By NACC support and active participation NCC is conducting the grant project of OSGF

What Can You Do to Protect Yourself Against Cancer (Recommendations for female reproductive system's cancer prevention and early detection)".
Authors: V. Tkeshelashvili, L. Charkviani, G. Nemsadze.
The booklet is proposed for females screening preparation at the beginning of secondary prevention. Cost of publishing- 500 US $.

Financed the edition of NACC booklet: How To Do Breast Self Examination (Recommendations for breast cancer prevention and early detection) "-authors: V. Tkeshelashvili, G. Nemsadze.
