Recommendations For Cancer Prevention

Take under control what you eat and adopt to a healthy diet

One's health, length of life time and quality greatly depends on personal diet, as the most important function in life sustaining system. Incorrect diet causes many diseases, including cancer, reduces length of lifetime and increases number of early deaths. Healthy diet helps to sustain person in a strong physical and spiritual condition for a long time, to prevent diseases, including cancer, to recover from many illnesses, to increase length of lifetime, to improve quality of life.

Try fasting

Fasting is one of the best ways to reduce periodically protein-loaded and especially, high-fat products in diet. Fasting helps to control own diet and to sustain or reach physical and spiritual health.

Subtract animal products, especially animal-fat foods in your diet


High animal-fat diet increases risk for breast, uterus, colon and prostate cancer.

Subtract salt-cured, smoked, nitrite-cured foods in your diet.

A Cancers of the esophagus and stomach are common in countries where these salt-cured, smoked, nitrite-cured foods are eaten in large quantities. Choose bacon, ham, and hot dogs or salt-cured fish only occasionally, if you like a lot.

Include more fruits, vegetables and high-fiber food in your diet

Epidemiological studies confirmed that high-fibber vegetable diet protects you against colorectal, gastric and respiratory cancer. Besides, vegetables contain a lot of vitamins.

Eat more foods with Vitamins

Vegetables and natural fruit juices contain vitamins in large quantities. Natural mineral and spring waters are rich in minerals. Vitamin A may help to protect you against cancers of the esophagus, larynx and lung. Carrots are the best source for vitamin A. Vitamin C helps to protect against cancers of the esophagus, stomach and lung. Citric plants are the best source for Vitamin C

Intake enough minerals

Georgian natural mineral and spring waters contain necessary minerals in large quantities, that is the reason, that Georgian population doesn't needs additional intake of minerals.

Control your weight: avoid pasty, sugar and candies

Obesity increases the risk of many diseases, including cancer. Obesity is linked to cancers of the uterus, gallbladder, breast and colon. In excessive fat tissues androstenoil turns to estradiol, which causes hyperproduction of estrogen (woman hormone). This is the main cause of the development of hormone-dependent malignant tumors. Exercise and lower calorie intake helps you to avoid gaining a lot of weight.

Health your body with more exercise, sports and water procedures

Walking (especially for older population and for those with chronic ischemic heart disease) and running is ideal exercise for majority of population. Check with your physician before strenuous activity, or a special diet

Go Easy on Alcohol

If you drink a lot, your risk of liver cancer increases. Smoking and drinking alcohol greatly increases risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, larynx and esophagus. National Association of Cancer Control recommends: If you do drink alcohol, be moderate in your intake.
The cancer development and death could be avoided due to healthy life style implementation and population protection from carcinogenic agent's exposure. The main part of the healthy life style is the healthy diet.
